Neahtawanta Inn

Philosophy

We strive to be ecologically sensitive, using nontoxic products and products made from recycled content, providing recycling options and serving organic food whenever possible. All our meals are vegetarian. The Inn is operated on a philosophy of conservation, respect for the Earth and sustainable living.

Morning yoga classes are available for guests, led by Sally. The studio is also open for guests to practice on their own.

We value providing a place to stay that offers peace and quiet in a natural setting. The Inn is based on the belief that personal restoration close to nature nurtures our spirits and helps us to de-stress. If guests want to enjoy the water, we have kayaks and a canoe available, or they can just relax on the beach or dock. Other activities, such as bicycling the country roads, taking walks or runs, sitting on the big front porch facing the lake, or getting cozy with a bonfire at the outdoor fire pit are all possible here at the Inn. We strive to promote a relaxing environment and enhance a sense of well-being.

In addition, there are special times of the year, such as enjoying the spring wildflowers, the cherry trees in bloom, going mushroom hunting, ice skating on Bowers Harbor and witnessing the fall colors which bring our guests in touch with the cycles of nature. In this spirit we offer special events such as our Full Moon dinner series and Solstice celebrations.
