The Neahtawanta Inn as a meeting place for groups
Meeting Rooms: The "Mary Atherton Room" (named after the original innkeeper) is the largest room on the first floor, 24' by 27', with 3 french doors that open onto the lakeside front porch. A joining the main room is the Neahtawanta Center library. Both of these meeting rooms have fireplaces and are wheelchair accessible. The Oak Timber room, 18' by 26', on the second floor was added in 1996. It is a timberframe constructed space with an open ceiling and exposed oak beams. The living room of the suite can also be used as a smaller meeting space.
Other Features:
To help foster a successful experience, we also offer facilitators for meetings, the use of computers with laser printing, access to the Internet, guided yoga and meditation, and massage. Arrangements need to be made in advance for these services.
The Inn also houses the Neahtawanta Research and Education Center, a non-profit organization working on issues relating to peace, community, sustainability, the environment and personal growth. We sponsor workshops on these topics, as well as serving as a networking vehicle for individuals and groups with similar interests. The Center publishes Gathering(s), a quarterly newsletter, with compelling information and current news of the Center's activities. Members of the Center receive Gathering(s) and a discount on selected workshops.
