Many ingredients for our breakfasts come from our local food co-op, Oryana. That means they are often organic and locally grown when in season. The flour for our muffins, coffee cakes, and pancakes is always organic, a mixture of unbleached white and whole-wheat pastry flour.
Sally bakes our bread from organic hard whole wheat flour without milk, butter or eggs. We often serve this wholesome bread toasted with Sally's home-made granola.
For people with milk allergies, we often use soy milk instead of cow's milk; please let us know when you check in. We use eggs in some of our breakfasts, but again they are usually from our food co-op and are from free-range chickens that are not fed antibiotics and hormones.
For people who like good coffee and don't want to feel guilty about how it is grown and harvested, we use Fair Trade coffee from Higher Grounds Trading Co., organic, sustainably grown and harvested by worker cooperatives. We serve organic juices from our food co-op as often as possible and our large assortment of teas offers a wide choice; a few of note: green and black teas, peppermint, kava, ginger, and many more.
